What is included in the cost of my break?

The price of your holiday break includes accommodation, access to our swimming pools, access to our children’s indoor and outdoor play areas, evening entertainment on selected days throughout the year and  wi-fi in the main Village Square.

Is there wi-fi?

Wi-fi access is available in the main Village Square, Premium Vista Lodges and 3 bedroom Premium Plus Lodges.

What time does reception close?

Guest Services is situated in the Welcome Building. The team are available for your queries Monday and  Friday from 9am to 9pm and from 9am to 6pm on all other days.

Can I get a food delivered?

Yes, please ensure you know your lodge or pitch number when you place your order.

Can I have visitors for the day?

We do welcome day visitors. There is no entry free to the park however if you wish to participate in any activities there will be a charge. If it is one of our busier periods, priority will always be given to guests staying on the park.

Can I hire bikes?

Yes, we have bikes, tandems and tag-along available to hire for you to explore the forest routes and trails.

Do you have a laundrette on site?

Yes, we have three laundrettes available across the site containing washing and drying machines. The charge is £3.50- £3.75 per use.

What’s the warden’s number?

On site from 6pm to 8am,our duty wardens can be contacted on 01425651251 or 07801 925807.

How do I book activities?

We have a wide range of activities  available, book online from our Activities page  or feel free to  call the Leisure Team on 01425 651216.

Can I hire an iron?

Yes, you are able to hire irons from Guest Services.  A £10 refundable deposit is required.

Does the Premier club discount apply in the shop?

The Premier Membership card does not offer a discount in the Village  Store.

How does your swimming pool system work?

We are limited to the number of guests that can use the indoor pool at one time for health and safety reasons. This means at peak times (some school holidays and bank holidays) guests may have to pre-book a one hour swimming session online before they arrive for their holiday.

We have a limited number of bands allocated on a first come, first served basis for each bookable session but these cannot be guaranteed.  The swimming system varies throughout the year but information will be emailed prior to your stay with any details if booking is required.

If the swimming slots are all booked can I still swim?

I’m coming with a large party so can we book a table at the restaurant?

Yes, we are  happy to book tables for parties of 10 or more guests, subject to availability. A restricted number of tables are available each day.  Please call 01425 651213 to enquire and book.  We do not take reservations in the Woodside Inn.

Do you have a secure area where I can lock my bike up?

Yes, we have several bike rack areas situated across the site for your convenience.

Can I bring a sign written vehicle?

We prefer guests not to bring commercial vehicles (vans, mini-vans etc) to Sandy Balls. Those guests who insist on using such vehicles will be required to park them away from pitches/accommodation areas at our direction.

Can I fish at Sandy Balls?

Yes, Sandy Balls has 1/3 mile of the beautiful river Avon, a challenging stretch of water with a variety of swims. Fishing tackle and bait can be purchased from the Cycle Centre. Closed season 15 March to 15 June.

Do you have to be a certain age to use the gym?

We have a large Gym available on site. Guests must be 16 years of age to use this facility.

Do the caravans and lodges come with bed linen?

Yes our caravans and lodges are supplied with bed linen.

Do I need to bring towels?

All Premium Lodges, Premium Plus Lodges, Premium Vista Lodges and Safari Tents have towels included. For all other accommodation, towel packs can be hired for just £8.00 per guest and includes 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel.  To book, call 0844 693 1050.  Alternatively you can bring your own towels.

What do I need to bring with me?

For non-premium accommodation you will need to bring your own towels, tea-towels, dishcloths, washing up liquid and toilet rolls.  Alternatively towels can be hired and everything purchased from our onsite shop. You will need to purchase your own food and beverages.

What is in my accommodation?

Please refer to the accommodation section of our website, each accommodation category has full details of what is included with your stay.

Can I park outside my accommodation?

Yes, a parking space is provided for one car next to each pitch /accommodation unit. Guests with more than one vehicle will incur a charge and may be required to park second vehicles elsewhere on site at our direction.

There are 7 of us can we fit in a 6 berth caravan/lodge?

The number of adults and children in a lodge cannot exceed the number stated, however a baby in a travel cot is acceptable over the maximum stated.

Does the accommodation have a washing machine?

Our disabled lodges all have washing machines in the accommodation.

Does the accommodation have a freezer?

Yes, a small compartment in the fridge.

Can we bring two cars?

We do allow 2 cars per 6 berth accommodation, at no extra cost, if you bring a second vehicle needs to be parked in our main car park. 4 Berth accommodations are allowed one car.
Touring pitches allow one vehicle to be parked on your pitch.
Extra cars for accommodation are £30 for the stay and Third vehicle will be £50 *(These need to be parked in the main car park).
Extra cars for Touring are changed at £10 per night (These need to be parked in the main car park).

Is there outside seating?

Yes, we have picnic benches situated throughout the site. Lodges and caravans will also have seating allocated outside the property.

Does the accommodation have a BBQ?

All lodges, caravans and camping pods have BBQ stands provided.  You can bring your own BBQ  or disposable  BBQ’s are available to purchase from the Village Store. We do ask you not to place them directly onto the ground, decking or picnic benches. Please dispose of them responsibly.  Safari tents have a Gas BBQ.

Can I change bed configurations?

This feature is only available in our  3 bedroom Premium Plus Lodges. If you wish to make any changes to your accommodation, contact Guest Services on 0844 693 1050.

Can I upgrade my accommodation?

Yes, we have several different types of accommodation so upgrade options with additional facilities such as an ensuite bathroom or a view may be available.  Please call 0844 693 1050 for availability and to book.

How big is the pitch?

Our touring pitches are approximately 9m x 9m and vary in size. Most of our serviced pitches include a 5m x 5m gravel or gravel/concrete hard standing on which to place your tourer/awning or tent. The hard standing is surrounded on at least three sides by grass. Strong metal ‘gravel’ pegs are a must when using these pitches. These can be purchased at the Village Store.

What is included in the price of my pitch?

The pitch fee includes unlimited 10AMP electricity supply, TV and water hook up.  The price includes 2 adults.  Children under 17 are free. Also included is full use of our facilities.

Are we allowed to bring a gazebo?

Pitching a gazebo, pup tents, an awning with annex or sleeping in awnings is not allowed.

Are the shower and toilet blocks open 24 hours?

Yes, our facilities are open 24 hours per day. They are regularly cleaned throughout this period by our team on site who follow strict cleaning guidelines and procedures.

Are the shower and toilet blocks heated?

Yes, our facilities are heated and maintained to a high standard.

Can I fit a travel cot in my accommodation?

Caravans – They will only fit in the lounge area.
Lodges – They will fit in the double bedroom although it is very tight, they will fit in the twin room but a bed has to be removed and the travel cot placed in the bed frame.
Lodges 1-17 – They will not fit in the main bedroom but will fit in the twin room by removing a bed and placing the cot in the bed frame.
Lodges 270 to 281 –  They will not fit in the main bedroom but will fit in the twin room by removing a bed and placing the cot in the bed frame.

Can I hire a travel cot and does it come with bedding?

Yes you can hire a travel cot for £12. Please note cot linen is not provided as most parents prefer to bring their own. Please contact Guest Services on 01425 651200 to book.

Can I hire a high chair?

Yes you can hire a highchair for  £12. Please contact Guest Services on 01425 651200 to book.

Is there anything else I can hire for children?

Yes we have baby packs available for £35. Designed for your convenience, the pack includes a baby bouncer, changing mat and an activity jungle gym. Also available for reservation are bed sides to prevent younger children from falling out of bed.  Please contact Guest Services on 01425 651200 to book.  There is not a charge for bed sides but they must be reserved in advance.

Do you have children’s menus in the restaurant and pub?

What age is the soft play area in The Den suitable for?

Under 6’s

Do you allow dogs in all types of accommodation?

We have pet friendly and pet free accommodation available in most categories.  We can accommodate a maximum of two dogs per Pet Friendly accommodation.  Dogs that come under the dangerous dogs act are not permitted onsite.  Please check if we have pet friendly accommodation available for the dates of your choice by visiting our website or by calling Guest Services on 0844 693 1050.

Can we bring any other type of animal other than a dog?

Yes you are able to bring other pets to Sandy Balls Holiday Village. Please contact the Guest Services team on
0844 693 1050 for more information.

Dogs
Please ensure your dogs are  kept on a lead at all times when outside your accommodation. That your dog  is properly supervised, is not dangerous and does not cause a nuisance or threat to anyone.
If we, in our sole and reasonable discretion, consider your dog to be dangerous or to be causing a nuisance, harm or threat to anyone, or to be likely to do so, we may ask you to remove it from Sandy Balls Village (without refund or compensation) or have it removed to kennels at your expense.

How do I get to you and what is your postcode?

Our post code is SP6 2JZ.

Directions

  • From the East
    Leave the M27 at Junction 1 signposted New Forest/Lyndhurst/Cadnam A337 and at the end of the slip road, take the third exit B3079 to Brook and then join B3078 to Fordingbridge.
  • From the West
    Follow the A31 to Ringwood until the turning onto the A338 to Fordingbridge, and then take the B3078 for about 2 miles.
  • From the North
    Follow the A338 through Salisbury to Fordingbridge, then take the B3078 to Godshill.

What time can I get into my accommodation?

You can arrive at any time and use our facilities once you have checked in. If you are staying in a Premium Vista Lodge it will generally be available from 1.30pm, Premium and Premium Plus Lodges from 2.30pm and all other accommodation from 4pm.

What’s the latest time I can arrive?

We can accept late arrivals via our Night Warden, until  10.30pm.

Do you offer a late check out?

You must vacate your accommodation and hand the keys back at the Welcome Building by 10am. Once you have done this you are welcome to stay onsite and use the facilities. Tourers are able to extend. The fee is £10 and is subject to availability.

Can I find out which pitch/accommodation I’ve booked?

You can if you have selected to specify your pitch or accommodation for a small fee of £5 per pitch or £20 per unit of accommodation.  If you haven’t specified your accommodation, it’s subject to change and will be allocated on your arrival. If you wish to fix your choice of accommodation for a small fee please call Guest Services on 0844 693 1050 who will be happy to assist.

How much deposit do I need to pay?

To confirm your booking, we ask for a deposit of either 25% of the total cost of your accommodation if booking more than 12 weeks before arrival, or payment in full if you are arriving within 12 weeks of booking. You can pay  your outstanding balance by contacting Guest Services on 0844 693 1050.

Are there any credit card charges?

A 2% surcharge applies to credit card payments. There is no surcharge applicable for debit cards.

When is the remaining balance due?

The full cost is due 12 weeks before arrival.

How do I pay my remaining balance?

Please call Guest Services on 0844 693 1050.

Can I change my booking?

Yes you can. Each change is subject to availability and will be charged at the current selling price advertised, plus a small amendment fee of £10. You may only change your dates once.

What do I do if I need to cancel?

You can cancel your booking if you have adequate insurance and have a valid reason i.e. loss of employment, illness, bereavement. If you do not have insurance, our normal cancellation charges will apply. If you wish to discuss cancelling your break please contact us as soon as possible by email or telephone Guest Services on 01425 651200

Do I need to buy travel insurance?

It is recommended as you will not be able to change or cancel your break within 12 weeks unless you have adequate insurance.

Do you provide ice packs?

We can offer guests staying on park ice blocks for a 35p charge and a £1.50 deposit at the Sandyballs shop.
If you would like to swap them for frozen blocks again this will be a further 35p charge per block.
Your deposit is returned when the blocks are.
