We have an opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager to cover maternity leave for  at least 12 months. As a Marketing Manager, you should have significant all-round marketing experience, in particular excellent digital and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a complex multi stakeholder working environment. This is a busy role with lots of variety so you must like a fast paced role where no two days are the same!  Brochure production, website development and management, PPC, email marketing, advertising and DM are all part of the role.

You will market a variety of accommodation, including lodges, caravans, pods, touring and camping to a wide target market. You will help achieve a multi-million pound target and be used to working to targets and achieving revenue goals. 

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you own the marketing P&L and lead the business to identify initiatives to ensure the business plan, sales and profit goals are achieved. A people Manager, you will manage and coach the marketing team (Graphic Designer and Digital Marketing Assistant).

You will work with the Sales & Guest Experience Manager and their teams to engage them to understand and buy in to brand priorities.  You will manage external agency relationships to ensure their detailed understanding of our brand values and business priorities, on time delivery of our plans and reviews, effectiveness and service levels and value for money.

• Strong academic record to degree level
• 7 years + marketing experience including planning and implementation
• Demonstrable sales knowledge
• Experience in budget management
• People management experience
• Proven experience of digital marketing
• Are you a self-starter?
• Self-reliant with the ability to build effective relationships?
• Travel / hospitality experience preferred but not essential


The role of our Guest services team is to delivering exceptional customer service throughout Sandy Balls and give a first point of call for a guest to find out information, deal with an issue or help in any way we reasonably can.  As a member of the team you will take ownership for managing and resolving any guest issue, communicating constantly with the guests until resolution, and checking the guest is completely satisfied with our response.  The guest must walk away feeling happy that it has been resolved and they have been treated by a very professional, courteous and caring member of our team.

You will work as part of the team, ensuring that problems are delegated to the correct department, followed up and communicated back with the guest. You will promote and provide information on accommodation and facilities, providing lodge tours where required.  You will also interact with our guests on every available opportunity, promoting Sandy Balls as a holidaying experience of the highest standard.  You will also be instrumental in spreading a culture of excellence guest service throughout the park, acting as an ambassador in how we treat our guests.

On Changeover days you will provide the guest with all the required information and keys for their accommodation in a timely manner, ensuring professional and efficient service at busy times in particular. You will complete guest courtesy calls to accommodation to ensure that the guest is extremely satisfied, as well as calling guests to understand their needs and help make improvements within our business.

You will be the key to delivering our mission statement, that every guest leaves wanting to return!

You will have excellent communication and customer service skills, face to face and on the telephone. Being a team player is crucial as is the ability to work under pressure.  You will have a caring nature and able to influence other members of our team as well as the determination and tenacity to see task right through to the end.  You will be uncompromising in your expectations as to what customer service standards should be.

Do you want to become a qualified lifeguard?

We are looking for individuals who want to join our leisure team, covering all areas within the business including lifeguarding, activities and reception. You will ensure the facility is clean at all times and deal with guests on a daily basis.
As a lifeguard you will be tasked with ensuring that strict health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times with a particular emphasis on ensuring the quality of service in and around the swimming pool area in terms of vigilance, cleaning and health and safety whilst always offering excellent levels of customer service to our guests.
We are looking to invest in the right people and therefore if you want to work full time (40 hour week), we will put you through your NPLQ.


Your role is to provide a warm, friendly and professional welcome to all guests and visitors. Working a varierty of shifts including days and nights you will ensure that all guest and visitors enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner. You are there to ensure the security of the site, safety of guests and visitors on site at all times and generally assist across the site when required. You will be the first point of contact for all guests and residents on site out of hours and can provide general maintenance.

You must have a full clean driving licence, first aid is an advantage, good local knowledge and a 'can-do, problem solving attitude'.


Working Monday and Fridays, changeover cleaning requires attention to detail and working to high standards with an understanding of presentation.

Position duties include: stripping and making beds, kitchens to be cleaned and checked throughout, bathrooms deep cleaned and buffed to a shine, thorough vacuuming, moving and inspecting behind and under furniture, dusting and polishing all surfaces, reporting promptly all maintenance / inventory issues. Experience in a similar role would be an advantage, as is a driving licence.
