We had never camped as a family before and we really enjoyed the whole Cornfield Camping experience. We camped with some friends who stayed in an adjacent tent and we enjoyed some great quality time together. All the facilities were great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

There was something for all of us from age 3 to 85
“We decided to book a family get-together at Sandy Balls as we had 3 big birthdays to celebrate this year – my son’s 60th, my granddaughter’s 40th and my 85th. As we are such a large family, from different parts of the country, it is usually difficult for us to arrange a time and place where we are all able to meet.
Booking a mixture of eight lodges and caravans meant that all 33 of us could celebrate together. We enjoyed the swimming pool, bike hire and forest walks – there was something for all of us ranging from age 3 to 85 and my great grandchildren particularly enjoyed the swimming poolWe had great fun in the evening when we could all spend time together in the restaurant/bar enjoying the evening entertainment – even doing the conga! We look forward to coming to Sandy Balls again soon.”
First class site and facilities, most polite and helpful staff
Just got back from out 1st camping holiday today. Stayed in a large motor home. Had an amazing time. 1st class site and facilities and the most polite and helpful staff I’ve ever known. We’ve already been on your site to book for next summer
The day itself went without a hitch. The sun shone. We had photos in front of the rhododendrons and overlooking the view at the top of Good Friday Hill. The room looked amazing for both our ceremony and then our reception
When looking for a wedding venue, we really wanted the New Forest as it is such a beautiful place and we have spent many lovely days there. We have big families so had over 110 guests so not that many venues could accommodate us, and those that could were often very expensive. Then we came across Sandy Balls.
We immediately liked the Woodside Suite as we wanted a big room that had a bar in it as we wanted a great atmosphere and didn’t want people spread out over several rooms. Sandy Balls talked us through several menu options and we settled on a sit down meal for the wedding breakfast and a hog roast for the evening. They even helped us find the perfect disco.
I would say that the whole day was perfect, but as we ended up having a whole wedding weekend, I would have to say the whole weekend was perfect. My Mum and sisters and I spent the afternoon being pampered in the beauty salon on Friday. Then most of our guests arrived on Friday night and we arranged to all meet up in the restaurant for dinner the night before the wedding which was lovely as we got to spend some extra time with people we hadn’t seen for a while.
The day itself went without a hitch. The sun shone. We had photos in front of the rhododendrons and overlooking the view at the top of Good Friday Hill. The room looked amazing for both our ceremony and then our reception. We had a drinks reception in the Courtyard whilst they prepared the room for dinner and the staff were all great.
The DJ was brilliant and the atmosphere was really buzzing. I don’t think the dancefloor emptied all evening. It was a day that we will never forget.
And to top it all off, our families and some of our closest friends stayed on for the Sunday night too so we had a lovely BBQ on our veranda of our lodge.
Once we arrived at Sandy Balls, everything was so easy as it was all in one place and lots of our guests commented on how nice it was to make a weekend of it. We can’t thank Sandy Balls enough for a wonderful wedding weekend.
